What is Aialik? (eye-Al-ick)

Aialik is a place on Alaska’s Kenai Peninsula, where glacier-carved waters, rugged mountains, and the open Pacific meet. The name comes from the Sugpiaq people of the region and is often translated as “surprising place.” For a mariner, Aialik also represents a point of transition — the moment when protected waters give way to the powerful swell of the Pacific Ocean. That idea is central to who we are: helping marine technologies move from sheltered concepts into real-world ocean environments with care, readiness, and respect for the waters they enter.
